Draw Near to God

In light of everything we have learned about Christ being better and doing better in order to give unprecedented (except Eden) access to the throne of God, let us then draw near to Him. So why dabble with friendship with the world and its fleeting pleasures when you can have infinite joy in the presence of the Almighty.

Sanctified Body

Jesus came into the world in a body specially prepared for Him (Psalm 40:6). So are we according to Psalm 139. But we need the perfect obedience of Christ’s body applied to our hearts to help us live the life God willed for our bodies. And God accomplishes that when we not only live by the Spirit but also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26)

Fruit of the Spirit

We are called to love our neighbor as ourself. Jesus said to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. These do not come natural to us but require His Spirit. But as a tree produces fruit according to its nature. Those who are saved, they have His Spirit and will produce fruit in accord with His nature. His fruit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Galatians 5:13-26
