There is an accountability to the gracious offer of eternal life in Christ Jesus. If one refuses to accept the gift of salvation through the superior sacrifice of the Son of God, the alternative is frightening and terrible. The writer to the Hebrews pleads with his readers who might be on the fence or even tempted to reject Christ that they don’t want face the anger of the offended Father.
